Todd Lockwood was born and grew up in Boulder, Colorado with the Rockies in his back yard. Growing up on Lost in Space and Star Trek and Lord of the Rings, Todd was consumed by science fiction and fantasy and studied at Colorado Institute of Art. After fifteen years of ad work for Coors and many others. After a few covers for Satellite Orbit magazine and Asimov's, Todd was finally moving into the market he felt his calling for. Dungeons and Dragons was hiring top artists to create outstanding work in the fantasy genre and so was Todd, creating some of the best artwork of his career for TSR. Wizards of the Coast bought TSR in 1997 and is located in the Seattle area, so Todd was drawn here like many of the Sci-Fi and Fantasy artists.

Todd lives in the shadows of Mount Ranier in Bonney Lake, Washington with his wife and kids.
